Very interesting shot. Both shots have a similar colour scheme and go well together :). I like the soft focusing on the boy, it works very well.

If I was to give my own interpretations, I think the look on the boys face, combined with the architectural shot give the idea that the boy is far more complex than he seems, and his mind is a massive trail of thought that works perfectly.

Either that, or for some reason it makes me think of Spiderman :).
